Probably 3.8-3.9 with a decent cooler.

i thought 955 can be around that range.
i guess i wasted 15 dollar then.
do you think i can do more than 3.9 with better cooler? plz let me know with what kind cooler.

These CPUs are hard to get over 3.9, mine would not go any higher no matter what, and that was on water. the stupid thing just would not do it I spent weeks trying to get it to go. The new ones might be easier because they run cooler. Anyways, good luck to you!

The 955 and the 965 are the same chip but the multipliers are set to 16 for the 955 and 17 for the 965. They should both have the same top oc given the same conditions.

That depends on your budget.
I use the XIGMATEK Dark Knight currently and my temps are at 29c idile and 42c at full load after a few minutes.
