I think i7 860 and i7 930 is as good (if not better) overall than 1090T, specially in gaming. Phenom II X6 usually wins in heavily multi-threaded like some of 3d redenring applications, but the difference is small though. However, in applications that are not heavily multi-threaded, Phenom X6 performs just like Phenom X4, sometimes slower

^Agreed. I read another review on techreport earlier this week, and the 1090t seemed to be a bit below the i7 930 in almost every task, especially gaming. There were only a couple programs that seemed to benefit from it, and in these situations it seemed to shine, performing better than even the i7 975. I guess, depending on the task, it's either an epic fail or an epic victory. :)

If it performs like the x4's, then when overclocked ~4GHz+ it will in theory match or beat the i7's in all real world tasks then?

I am a little dissapointed though truth be told. They are by no means weak, and I didn't really expect them to be massively better than the quad 17's, but I atleast expected them to always match or better the i7's in every environment. I think as more multithreaded programs come out that are scripted better for more cores, you will see the Thuban's shine though.

Would still have one over an i7 though (unless I come into alot of money and lost all sense and could get a 980x :P)
