Phenon Vs Athlon

MB: GA-MA785GT-UD3H, I do not plan to do gaming or overclocking, which CPU would be the better chioce, "Phenom II" or "Athlon II" ?

Go with a athlon then.

I think those 240's are about 55 bucks, and the athlon quads around 90.

The phenoms are a little better, but if u dont need it, no reason to spend extra.

Phenom II is the better CPU, but it really depends on how much you want to spend.

I have an Athlon II X4 635 @ 3.6Ghz and I'm happy with it.

I already have the MB, not gaming & not overclocking, I think a duel core CPU is sufficient.

The Phenom II X2 560BE is coming out in the next few days.

Checked out the Phenom II x2 560, looks good, with this CPU I can raise the FSB without overclocking. I'll wait for it to hit themarket. Thanks for the info.
