Hello,

Well I live in an area with slow internet ,and so I use my phone for internet. I have a problem though my phone's range of wifi output isn't that far and I can't move my pc I can move my phone closer to my desktop ,but I won't get any fast speeds. So is there any wifi extender that would work with my phone so I could extend the wifi range of my phone?
Thanks,
Eric

So you are sharing the hotspot on your phone to your pc? Not sure if a wifi extender would work in your situation. Are you on dial up or just slow dsl?

yea ,but the range of the hotspot is low. Also my two options are broadband with 5gb data cap or dial up

Since you can have the phone close the your desktop, why do you need a wifi extender? Are there other devices you need to connect to the wifi as well?

If you only have the one computer, you should look into tethering your phone to your computer via a usb cable. That would give you the most reliable connection to your phone.

I'd look into the Asus RT-N16 (other Asus routers may work, but this one definitely works as I use it for this purpose): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320038

What you do is connect your phone to your router via USB, enable USB tethering (I do this on my Verizon Note 2), and the router will detect it as a 3G/4G modem and will use it for internet access. Works with hardwired devices as well.
