Photo & Video Editor

I have several hundred videos with about 4 or 5 different types. I'm looking for a Video Editor that will change them to one type such as .mov which is what my cameras take now and I need to cut and combined them. ACD has a lot of stuff but I don't thank they have what I need. Any suggestions?

Also any video converter or format factory are good.
