Hello everyone , I wonder will my old case USB 2.0 front socket will work properly If I'll connect it as USB 3.0 to a new mother board ?
I am asking because I've seen on other forums that it wont work, I don't understand why,according the other forum : USB 3 have more pins.
I counted only 4 of them on the USB cable of my new (USB 3.0) external HDD, and there are 4 pins on a regular (USB 2.0) flash drive as well.
so is there any physical difference between USB 2 and 3 ?
and can I use old USB 2 front socket as USB 3 ?
