I have Nvidia Physx installed from Borderlands, I believe, but as you can see, I have an ATI card, so is this needed?
 
Well, haven't tried playing the game since uninstalling it, and now it doesn't work. Seems like you need it.

I just reinstalled the drivers from the Nvidia website and it works again, so yeah, its required.
