Pick one or state your preference.

ASUS looks better but id choose Samsung , bit better specs and cheaper. You can't go wrong with either brand though in my opinion.
 
Yo i have 2 Asus drives the exact same as the one you have linked one of them i've had for 3 years and 1 i bought in december they are truly great reliable dvd drives.
 
i would go for the asus, looks much better, and is 24x, as appossed to 22x, and its not much more to be worth bothering about.

I have an Asus of a diff model and it grumbles twice at startup.
Works fine, but the noise, and maybe it's trying to go out. That won't stop me from buying Asus as that could happen with any brand. I just noticed the SS I linked is IDE :o , so I'll just pick a diff model.
