I know this is a basic question and might be in the wrong forum but can someone tell me why when I changed from dialup to broadband 512 I think or close when I go on online gaming my ping is still 250_ 900 WTF? It hasn't seemed to change . Any feedback would be appreciate

I just did some research and figured out its my server that sucks

What server are you connecting to? If it's one out of the country that's probably the reason.

Changing your internet speed does not change your ping mate, if you have a...lets say 60 ping on a server and you are using dial-up, then you changed to the fastest speed you can get, ping will not change!!!!

i spose the only way of your ping changing is if the server was dedicated closer to where you live or maybe if the server was to go to a higher speed, but there is nothing you can do about your ping

That's correct in a sense, going from 1Mb to 2MB DSL/Cable won't decrease your ping, however going from dial-up to DSL will improve your ping significantly.
