Pixel Different Color

I just got an IBM Thinkpad and one of the pixels is a different colors than the others. What's the Problem?

It's a stuck pixel. You can try two things to fix it, once is a software program, and the other is to apply a bit of pressure to the area.

Do a google search for it, but I never found that to work. Applying pressure to it always worked for me.

I tried googling it and found a software program. That didn't work. I tried several techniques, but no luck yet. I will try a few more times. I tried rubbing, tapping. I will try some more. I have to locate the right pixel. With me Luck!

lol, good luck with that. i hate to rain on your parade, but theyre also called "dead pixels", and for an obvious reason. sometimes you can get them to work, but most of the time, you either try to get a refund or put up with it, and i have tips for both:
when trying to get a refund, avoid telling them about the dead pixel; many companies have a minimum pixel policy, i.e. 5 dead pixels min.
when trying to live with it, just keep your screen dirty; it works great for me ;)

I was reading if it were dead it would be black. But it is blue. I just got the computer today, so if I can't figure it out I may return it.

I decided to send it back. Luckily the seller does not care there is a stuck pixel. The computer was severely blemished anyway. Maybe it happened for the best. Now, I can buy a better one.

A dead pixel will have no color at all, since his is a different color it's a stuck pixel.

I really dont know what you were expecting from such an old laptop. Even brand new monitors may have a stuck/dead pixel, but they dont allow you to return them unless theres 7-8 or more of them.

Really? Actually my 6 month old lcd monitor just got a stuck pixel. Give me your opinion. I got it on ebay and the seller said he can give me a refund or exchange it. The laptop has scuffs in the exterior and the stuck pixel. Should I return it? Or, should I exchange it? Or, not bother doing anything?
