I plan on swapping my motherboard, is there any way I can backup my entire hard drive onto my storage drive then have everything back to normal after the swap/format?

I know nothing about reformating, I normally just move my big files to the storage drive and copy them back over. Thanks for any advice in advance.

Not really. Changing motherboard will involve you installed the motherboard drivers and the programs over again. Unless you installed your program on a seperate partition, in most cases, some programs might keep working, some might not due to registry issues.

So yeah, you'll have to re-install everything in a way
