Nice job! The only thing I would have a gripe about is the tiny 19" monitor =D, but thats your choice. The 21.5" to 22" are very reasonably priced. That PSU and Mobo are good for two 4870s if you so choose. As long as you aren't trying to cut cost I would say that is a very nice rig.

Edit: 4gb of RAM is plenty for that rig and if your mobo reads the RAM wrong you can change it in bios. BUT!! crossfired 4870s with 8gb of RAM can have major issues with the CCC and ati driver. It is one of the most common complaints on the ATI forums.

DDR3 RAM hasn't shown much bang for the buck in benchmarking. Its faster but you wont notice. And unless you are doing video editing or other RAM intensive things there is really no need for more than 4gb. So i would save a few bucks and go with 4gb, you can always upgrade and it will probably be cheaper then.

Thanks :) I may try to get a 22" LCD, I will have to look again.

I forgot to mention that case is great. The only cases I really recommend are that one, the antec 300 and 900 (budget and high end). But I doubt you will have any complaints about that case, and it looks nice ;). If you want a high end case on a budget i would tell you to get the antec 300 and buy a pair of 120mm fans for the front. The 4870s run hot and the airflow in the antec 300 is better in my opinion, especially with a couple extra fans.

I just bought my parts, I have updated the first post with what I actually got. I hope to get it on Friday so I have all weekend to play and tweek it :)

Also, this is the first time I bought a HDD from Newegg...they ship from NJ?? WTH???

They ship from wherever they have the item in stock from their
many warehouses.

Very nice build btw. That thing should smoke pretty good!
Err...hope not. You know what I mean! lol
