iam going for the setup of a 20-27 inch plasma tv as a tv and a monitor.
what should i look for? my 7900gs is dvi.
So...

thanks

For 20-27 inches why not just get a standard monitor with HDCP (or whatever it's called)? Get a TV card with that and you're set to go. Any specific reason for getting a TV?

its going to serve as a tv to...
for xbox 360 play.
but i want to hook it up as a monitor to.
to have it do more than one thing .

Still dont get plasmas :)

Anyways, using TV's as primary monitors is almost always a bad idea. SO if you want a multiuse device, you'll have to use a monitor as a TV.

Monitors are designed to display computer resolution natively.

Televisions are designed to display television signals natively.

480, 720, 1080 can all be stretched/cropped to each other smoothly with decent results

but 480,720 and 1080 displayed on a computer-native monitor has MUCH worse results

get a monitor for your computer

and a television for a television

the only time i'd suggest a 2-in-1 would be a crt screen, since they can switch resolutions

but for any digital display, i would never recommend using one for the other
