Plays most games on max settings!

Anyone else tired of reading reviews like this on newegg or other sites where users and people who have purchased video cards claim their GPU runs...well...as the title says. Does anyone buy into these crappy reviews written by either oblivious or incompetent reviewers? I am not going to bother posting a link because all you need to do is read ANY reviews about any GPU and sure enough it can play anything or everything on almost max settings.

What classifies almost high settings? (I would assume 2 graphics options maxed out with native resolution looking at the GPU's people own that make this claim)

What are 'most games'? (solitaire, minesweeper?)

Lastly, if you are one of these people, just stop it. (seriously)

Thanks.

Reviews on newegg or any retailer I just ignore unless its under 50% and I just read some of those it see if theres a common problem with it

Agree with Strangle, they're ignored. Hell you can't even trust benchmark sites for on the level reviews half the time as well. Doesn't matter that they have charts showing LOD and FPS, when they're comparing mismatched configurations and a 256mb card to 512mb..

The product reviews at newegg piss me off. Most of the people don't own the item they're reviewing. If they do, they'll give it a 1 rating because they couldn't figure out how to use it. I know I'm generalizing, but if you look at reviews on motherboards, for example, you'll have people that returned the same item two or three times, when the problem was most likely with the user, not the component!

"DOA three times. This board sucks!"

Whatever.

only reviews i look for are power consumption and how it handles in 3dmark06. ill judge it from that and decide to buy.
