Playstation on LCD

Hey I just bought a Dell 17" LCD panel monitor with DVI and VGA input. I'm going to use the DVI input for my computer and was going to try to use the VGA input for a Playstation2. I've figured out that I need a VGA to component converter and then another male to female component converter to hook the PS2 to the VGA input. However, my question is: will the PS2 gaming burn out the LCD screen quickly, like what would happen on the CRTs? And, is it feasible to use both inputs and switch between the two?

Unless you're dealing with really old/cheap CRTs, burning shouldnt be a problem; LCDs typically are worse for fair than CRTs nowawadays when it comes to burning and ghosting but realistically if you can stand the LCD's image quality than you should be fine :)

Glad i could clear it up... if you're really concerned, just turn it off when you're not using it :)
