Please Suggest a Motherboard and CPU

I need to pick out an Intel CPU and a motherboard to match it. My only requirements are that the CPU is an Intel and it's at least 2GHz.

Also, please tell me which kind of RAM to use with it.

any more details? what will u need this to do? just basic applications? newest games? etc.... Also what kind of gfx card are u planning to couple with this..
 
I have no idea what I'm coupling it with, but I'll be using it for everything from listening to music to playing Doom 3.

good lord dylane, how are we to pick something when we dont have a price range or info, i mean are we talking budget of $100, or $1000. Also what country are you in, also what kind of memory, what kind of graphics card, what kind of hard drive do you need.
Where not mind readers buddy.

ASUS makes a lot of motherboards. Including ones thats arent compatible. ;)
