Well, lately I have trouble with Windows xp. I turn on my computer and after a while I can't open any more processes. Only windows explorer windows work, but nothing else. I double click a program and the loading mouse cursor is displayed few seconds than the normal cursor reappears and nothing happens. I can't even open the Task Manager, not even Log Off or Shut Down(or restart) the computer, nothing responds. I can still use the programs which were opened before that...problem occurred.
I'm planning to reinstall windows, but with the trouble it gives me I don't thing I can save what I have on my PC. And that is where Ubuntu comes in. I want to boot with the Ubuntu live CD which I have just downloaded (I managed to open firefox before that problem) and use it to move my files from C: to D: and delete some files on D: to get more space.
But the question is: will the Ubuntu live disk recognize my NTFS partitions and be able to read/write to them?
Or there is any other bootable program which is like explorer to help me save my files? I just want to move them from C: to D: and delete some stuff on D:.
