Please help ASAP screen problems.

Hi, my friend has a sony computer screen its a old crt type as far as im aware.
Tonight she contacts me and shows me these pictures of it, the screen has gone all wavy....we have no idea why???? can anyone please help? ty.

First try a different monitor and if it still does it then try updating the video card drivers. If that don't do anything, you have a bad video card.

looks like bad video card...i just had my open boxed gtx460 give up the ghost 4 hours after installing...i blame shipping tho...newegg didnt double box the damn thing...
