please help me, i cant get my computer to start! yesterday i was watching a video online and all of a sudden it stopped and my computer frose. my mouse still moved but i couldnt click on anything so i held down the power button to turn it off. i have a dell xps laptop with windows vista on it. now when i try to start it, it acts like its going to start then comes up with the screen that asks to launch startup repair or start windows normally. ive tried both but neither work. start normally gives me the screen with the bar going across but it just does that forever cause i had it running all night and it still wouldnt start and the repair choice just gives me a black screen forever or gives me a black screen with the cursor.
today i tried working with it more and ran the diagnosis at startup and ran the express test and got the errors: 0f00:137B dvdrw_4-drive media is missing or blank and 0600:5127 cable- lcd cable was not detected. also when i tried to start it in safe mode it would stop loading windows files at crcdisk.sys
can someone please help me. this computer is my life and i need it working. thanks!

i talked to dell and after running some tests they said its my hard drive so their sending me a new one that im suppose to put in and sent back this one that doesnt work. does anyone know how i can get some files off of it, if i cant start it, so i dont lose them, or is it a lost cause and they are already gone?
