Hi everyone.
I apologize if this is not the right forum. Couldn't find one general enough about hardware. :\
<!-- First off I am using Windows --!>
I am in need of finding specific information about my computer's hardware. Is that possible? :\
I already know how to view the hardware through My Computer and Control Panel, but I need more specific information that what is generated.
Below is the information I need to know. I look to upgrade my PC, or sell it...not sure yet, all I know is that I need a better solution. I am currently on an Intel Celeron (not even D) 2.2ghz processor with only 632mb of RAM.
Unit has not been performing well for my business needs..
I need to know:
Well, I think that's all I need to know right now. :whistling: Sorry for so many questions, but you'll never know the answer without asking.
Heck, maybe this thread might even be worth a sticky one day for n00bs like me.
Thank you in advance for your answers and reply!

I need to know:
- What type of motherboard and model am I currently using? By looking inside the case, I can tell that it has the ASUS brand name on it. I'd like to see the model number and general type of motherboard it is.
- What model number is my graphics card? I know it's an nVidia GeForce...but I am unsure of the model!
- Is a video and graphics card the same? >_<; If not, how can I find out what type of video card I have? If a nVidia GeForce is a video card, how can I find out what kind of graphics card I have? =P
- How can I tell what brand/model number my hard drives are, and what RPM they have?
- How can I view the brand/model number of my sound card?
- Is there a way I can see what type of power supply my PC has, and what fan/cooling system it has?
- How can I find out the brand names and model numbers of my optical (CD R/RW and DVD R/RW) drives?
Well, I think that's all I need to know right now. :whistling: Sorry for so many questions, but you'll never know the answer without asking.
