Hey everyone,

I bought a cyberpower desktop off newegg, i have had it for a lil under a year, I was on it the other day just doing my usual thing, recording music, playing with my midi keyboard, when all of the sudden it started acting up. Nothing would open and nothing could recognize when i clicked on it so i figure, well maybe ill try restarting it...so i did, but now it will load all the way up to the part where the bars are going across the screen saying loading windows or something and then it crashes after about 15 seconds of loading. I have a ton of important things on there and i really cant afford to lose it all ; reformating.

Also I have Windows Vista Home edition 32bit

thanks in advanced.

Im honestly not quite sure, its just one that came with the rig, is there a way to boot from something other then the HDD so i can save all my stuff before reformating?

As it boots up to where the bars are going across you should be able to get into safe mode. Tap F8 on bootup and run sfc\scannow to check the integrity of your system files. You may have a corrupt file causing this.

Thats another thing to try. If you could though, take the side panel off your rig and see what the model is on the hard drive?

When i pressed F8 all it told me was to choose to boot from the hard drive or the CD-rom

also it will not allow me to boot in safe mode...
