my friend is getting me a seagate 500gb hard drive for free, but if not i am getting this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136260

also i wasn't sure on the cooling system whether to get the tuniq tower, or go with water cooling? if you had any suggestions on which is the better way to go.

please check everything out and tell me if they are all compatible with each other. thank you so much for your time.

I don't think you should go with a quad core, its a waste of money. Nothing can utilize 4 cores yet. Just get a top of the line core2duo.

thank you for the feedback! it is so helpful and making me feel more confident about this rig. i might post some pictures later on not sure if anybody would care though haha. but i already have 2 drives and windows vista ultimate sitting here next to me. please people write more though i really appreciate it

Maybe this will save people time: this is what my cart looks like----

Windows Vista Ultimate

DVD R/RW & CD-R/RW Drive

Not many programs use all 4 cores YET, but they WILL very soon. (Im guessing the next 1-3 years). The 9450 is a great choice if you can afford it (and by seeing the other parts your purchasing, I can see money is no factor :P)

So yeah, I would definatly go for the quad over the dual, it will help you in the long-run if you dont want to upgrade in another 2-3 years.

Your build looks great by the way, good luck! :)

And definatly post pics when your done!!! :D

HL2 can  And Quad Cores ARE worth the price. NOTHING? Haha! Windows, lots of multitasking programs...

Quad Cores were created because they were going to be used, not to goggle and drool at.

Notice how almost all newer servers these days carry Quads?
