I recently have tried to reload my OS multiple times to try and make it run faster than my old Atari ST520, without success! It used to work just fine but I think I picked up a virus and mow my whole computer seems ruined before I spend more money can you tell me is it worth it?
When I switch it on I have accidently saved XP over my partition, though I don't think this is the problem as it was slow before I would like to get rid of it so that it loads rather than bring me to a choice of OS where the partion does not work?
This last load was the most successful it seemed to follow normal process however it is still slow (Atari ST520) and here are a list of th error's I had unable to copy so I skipped: webdings.ttf and webfldrs.msi to get it to load finally I got this message - INF install failure. Reason the parameter is incoorrect.
I looked at the system information and some items were installed in 2003 and one thing in 2001 but I didn't own the PC then but it was new from Dell.
Lastly my processor reads as being:
x86Family16Model2Stepping7GenuineIntel~2392Mhz
What is that I was told it was a pentium 4?
