Please help me

Hey, my desktop is having some problems. Basically ill log on fine (i may have to click start windows normally), so i start using it, its doing to usual thing starting up my programs (skype, yahoo messenger) it will suddenly have short thick black bars appear all over the screen they go and the whole thing freezes. I fear it may be a hardware problem.


Can someone tell me whats going on and how to fix it please.

Check your hard drive for errors by using the hard drive manufacturers disk diagnostic program.
