Hello, I am unable to print on my computer. When I try to print, I get an error message that states " msn.exe unable locate component. This application has failed to start because mscms.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." I do not know what this is. Is this a registry key that is missing? How do I re-install this component?
Operating System- Windows XP Professional
Printer_ Cannon Bubble- Jet BJC-4300
Please, any help you can give me is very much appreciated, Thankyou
Marla

that wierd are you sure it say msn.exe, i cant see why that would be involved. msn.exe is just msn explorer.

process library say mscms.dll is Microsoft Color Matching System DLL

you should do 3 things
1) Do as in post #2
2) See if you can find mscms.dll, run and search (be sure to include system folders in the search)
3) read these sticky's and follow the instructions

create a new thread under the security section and post you hijack this log in there
- i only say this because it seems weird to me that msn.exe is giving this error and msn.exe is know to have trogan issues

As stated, msn.exe has nothing to do with printing drivers whatsoever. I would imagine you should be able to either google and download mscms.dll or get it off of your windows CD.
