I just finished building my computer, and i plugged it into my monitor and stuff, and it keeps making this loud beeping noise(not onelong beep, but a series of short beeps about 1 second long spread out by about 1 second), and it's not coming from the speakers. And the screen is black, the monitor light turns green for a moment as if trying to receive information but then goes orange again. The specs are:

amd 64 3000+ (skt 939 winchester core)
msi k8n neo4 motherboard
western digital wd caviar 80gb SATA
1 gb corsair ram
msi radeon x3000se
..and all the other irrelvant stuff

Does anyone have any advice to my problem? Help would be greeaaatly appreciated!

What BIOS is it on the board, the beeps are trying to send you a code to tell you what's wrong.

a bios doesnt come on a cd, its on the motherboard. If its not coming on, its either a faulty motherboard or power supply.

Or memory isn't installed correctly, or GFx card isn't, or something isn't plugged in. It can be any number of things, which is what the BIOS beeps are trying to tell you.

something isn't plugged in..does this mean any power plug or could it be anything? Either way I think I'm going to start the plugging from grounf zero. What about the CPU, i hope not, but could this be the problem? (even though I'm very sure I did that part right, it was fairly simple)

I have another question about the memory. Should both modules be on Channel A (they would be separated by one DIMM this way) or should I leave them next to each other?

Make sure they are both in either channel A or channel B. The beep code you're hearing is refering to something with the memory. Meaning it could be placed improperly or somehow installed incorrectly.

why cant the dumb bios just say it in english instead of dumb error codes lol
Because that would be dumb. Error codes can always be redefined to meet changing platform-related errors and such.

i think i may have found the problem. the jumper wasnt set to master on the optical drive. hopefully this will fix.
Except the machine will still boot with that config (rather than dying as it is)

well i got everthing worked out, but now i have a new problem. when i play a game, say guild wars, it will play without freezing anywhere for 1 second to 1 1/2 hours. I have already determined that its not because my gfk card is overheating, or that it is not good enough. I'm almost 100% certain. it is the drivers. I have tried everything, but it keeps telling me that the drivers have not passed XP logo testing, which isn't my biggest problem. After that error there is another error which say the following: "Zero display service error." I've already googled it, and have tried to follow guides on how to fix it, but they didn't work. Any ideas?

My card is a MSI X300SE.

Given that u have a X300SE, i wouldnt expect it to overheat period

That's fine

Use different drivers. For the record, what driver revision are u using?
