Please help to transfer favorites to new computer

While transitioning from a Vista computer to Windows 7 computer how do I transfer my favorites /bookmarks in Internet Explorer and Firefox respectively? I googled this, but most of the information relates to Windows XP. You all seem to know the latest and most direct wasy to get things done. I would like to just place the favorites on a USB drive and transfer it to the Windows 7 machine.

On Firefox you use the Bookmark export feature. Export the html file to the desktop on the old PC, and then copy that bookmarks.html file to something like a Thumb Drive.

On the new Computer use the Firefox Import Feature, and point it to the File copied from the old PC.
 
I don't have outlook with windows 7 pro. Im curious and see no options like that with Firefox 4.0. I just use the older ver because of plugins and compatibility. Checked it all and nothing. Just import from firefox. Any ideas what im missing.
 
No options like that with ver 4.
Yes with older ver. Maybe the newer ver.
Not with 4.0.
Oh well. Just curious.
