Please Help!!!

I just recently built a computer and have been trying to install windows xp for the past 3 days. It will always get to the same spot then say It does not recognise any hard drives and it restarts. I have a western digital SATA drive and I've tried every combination of the drivers that I could think of on the driver disk. Please help me, I would really like to get this computer going.
 
This is during the install process when it asks you to pick a drive to install to or during boot time?
 
are you pressing f6 during the early stages of the install so as to provide the third party drivers
 
when you try the drivers on the driver disc, is the driver disc something that came with your motherboard? and what motherboard do you have?
