Hi, all of a sudden my laptop came under threat from what AVG found to be a trojan clicker aejj. It quickly blocked me out of task manager having taken over the administrator and i cant even get into safe mode. Its letting me get as far as the desktop but no further, no icons are available to click so i havent been able to get a hijackthislog or download any other malware remover :(
I am using another machine to post this. Any help you can provide would be greatly appriciated. Would it be easier to wipe the drive?
 
u could partition the drive, add a new OS and then download malwarebytes and scan the other partition...
 
If you boot to safe mode and still can't get task manager to come up then your only 2 options would be to take this hard drive out of that system and put it in another system that has a fully updated antivirus and scan it along with malwarebytes full scan. Then you should be able to put the drive back in the original computer and continue to scan with malwarebytes and hijackthis.
 
Try ERD Commander..
Boot from it, and select to view whats booting with your windows and disable it.
Reboot and boot from windows normally.
