Please Help

My Computer has a strange problem
When i open my C: Drive and select all and then go to properties it shows me that 5.5 gb is utilized.
But when i right click on my drive and go to properties it shows only 600 mb is left and the capacity is 9.5 gb.
I genrally download a lot of stuff and some of that might be unsafe but i use zonealarm and registry mechanic.

have you tried defragmenting the disk? ( its usually not needed anymore, because windows xp does a pretty good job on memory management imo) but like you said,.. you downloaded a lot of stuff, so it might have been messed up a bit =o
