yer i have in right now a P4-640 (3.2E GHz, 800 FSB, L2:2MB, EM64T, HT) i checked the p5n32-sli cpu support list and it supports it ? so yer i do not no ?

how did you go about putting it together? if you didnt take any precautions, esd could have fried one of your parts....just a thought

Nah everything like all lights are coming on and dvd drive opens and nothing fried so its like the cpu power isnt in but it is .thats what it sound like ?

no thats what im asking everything work my screen work 100% too so whats wronge nothing comes up on screen :(

I'd take the motherboard out of the case and out it on the foam it came with with the anti-static bag beneath then remove everything except the CPU, heatsink and power cables from the board. Then try by shorting out the 2 power buttons to see what happens then. You only need the following kit in short:

> PSU
> CPU & heatsink
> Motherboard
> 24-pin motherboard power connector
> 8-pin ATX power connector.

Everything else should be kept to one side. Try this and report back.

i have read over the asus user guide ( Use of a PSU with a higher power output is recommened when config a system with more power-consuming devices. The system may become unstable or MAY NOT BOOT UP. ) and thats my problem its not booting up it turns on and stuff but nothing on the screen ? :|

PC 550W ATX Power Supply Silent Dual Fan thats what i have now and i dont think thats good enough and this is what im goning to buy it me if i should buy it ? 600W ATX P4 Power supply Tri Fan Cooling PSU 600 W should i ?

should i use the 8-pin or 4 pin ? cpu power

If you don't have one of those connected, then YES. Plug in which ever one your board needs. Some use the 4 pin, newer ones need the 8 pin.

With out that connection your board will not boot! That is what actually powers the CPU, it is usually located near your CPU.
