Hi guys,
been thinking recently and ive decided to sell my computer and upgrade!
Any advice or recomendations about the compnents i have selected would be greatly appreciated.

Intel i7 920 D0 stepping
getting this because after overclocking should last me a long time

Asus P6T SE
Im getting this and not the standard P6T because I do not want SLI or any dual GPU in fact, and 6 USBs should be enough ALSO has LG775 Cooler socket so i can use my current cooler OCZ vendetta 2

Antec 300
Obvious reasons

ATI HD4890
Again this is pretty powerfull single GPU and very resonably priced at the moment

This is where i have some problems, I want a corsair modular PSU

should i get the 620W or the 750W

I will be running the cpu quite heavily ocd, same for the GPU. Will have 2 Hard drives maybe 3 and one dvd burner, and i will have 4 fans to power. Also eventually i will be upgrading the GPU when it becomes outdated. This is why i cant decide whether the 620W will be enough or if i should get the 750W.

Also The Ram i have chosen, will this handle the CPU overclocking? like i said i want to oc, to around 3.8 maybe higher will this handle or should i get better ram?

Thankyou for any help:good:

ps. dont want to spend much more money than i already am if that helps for budget and i will be using the pc mainly for gaming. And i already have 2 Hard drives:P

If you really do not ever want dual GPUs running in either Xfire or SLI...the 620w Corsair will be plenty. That is a strong PSU and will work perfect for that build.

I do agree with bomberboysk on the motherboard issue. The Gigabyte is a rock solid motherboard from a great company. And it will look great with some blue LED lights:D

Yeay i dont ever plan on going Dual Gpu, too much hassle, however the reason why im confused about the Psu is because on the the corsair website they have a thing which helps you choose what psu you should get. I choose i7, 4890 and 3 hds, extreme overclock and gpu overclock. With that in it recomends the 520 and 620 watt ones. however if i change my gpu to the nvidia 285 gtx then it recomends the 750 w one. I know im not getting this card however in the future i may get a similar card with a similar power draw.

Why would you recomend the ud3r instead of the p6t se? im never going to use 2 gpus, and the gigabyte board has two less ram slots from what i gather...

Well, if you definately arent going dual gpu then the asus is probably fine. Just an FYI, its not really a hassel to go dual gpu:P Its more or less stick the other gpu in, hook the connector up, install drivers and ready to go.. Though if you want to save some money one of these power supplies would suit you fine:

Or a non modular one...:

Yeah i defo want to try modular this time, keep things tidy. The reason why i went for corsair in the first place is because i heard they were the best. My OCZ stealth extreme is very diapointing, its so loud! its a minor reason for why im upgrading. Would the ocd modxtreme and antec true power be just as quiet as the corsair one do you think?

The antec is probably about as quiet as the corsair, maybe quieter. The ocz is is bit louder than the corsair would be though. You actually may want to think about something like this:

I have the 1000W version of that power supply, very quiet.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Think im going to stick with the 750 modular corsair, but thanks for the other suggestions, been thinking about it for a while. I definately want to spend the money now on a good base system (CPU, MOBO PSU) so i only have to upgrade the gpu later, hopefully a lot later. Going to go for the P6T and not the P6T SE, not because of the sli, but because the standard edition has 3 more overclocking options, not a lot, but i want it to last me and im going to squeeze as much as i can out of this i7 beast. Also going for some corsair ram (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/164762) instead of the patriots, the ones below the dominator series.

Thanks again for the advice
