I haven't been posting lately since I'm attempting to start a computer services business. I'm building a new computer...I don't game much at all, but I will be working with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.

Budget:$1650 including shipping.

CPU: Q6600 G0
RAM: CORSAIR XMS2 2GB DDR2 800
HDD: 2x Seagate Barracuda 250GB (they'll be run in RAID for data protection)
GPU:8800GT 512MB
Optical:Samsung DVD Burner
Monitor:22" WS Hanns-G
Case:Xion Hydraulic (and an extra 120mm fan)
PSU: Corsair 520W from Buy.com
MB:DS3R P35

I'll be getting a Zalman and Vista HP 64-bit and this wireless card.

If anyone has any suggestions please tell me!

Thanks!

change from the q6600 to a e6550 or wait for 45nm cpus. nothing utilizes four cores well enough to dignify buying this heater.

change the case to a cm 690, so much better.

8800gt instead of gts.

change to a ds3r, or a 650i, save urself money. the 680i is a huge ripoff.

and get either a thermalright ultra 120 extreme> a scythe ninja b> or freezer 7 pro
depending on the cash ou wanna blow

Since you will be doing photoshop and other graphic intense operations, I would suggest 4 gigs of ram to be used with that 64 bit OS.

Photoshop is a ram hog, the more you can throw at it the better.

I update a few things, namely, the 8800GT and I changed to a P35 MB as most likely I won't do SLI.

And paratwa: thanks for the suggestion, maybe at a later point I'll upgrade to 4GB.
