Pleez help with wireless keyboard

I bought a wireless mouse keyboard combo a few weeks ago. The mouse has worked awsome since i've got it but my keyboard dosent work. It worked the first time I plugged it in. Then it worked till i shut down the computer. All of a sudden it dosent want to work anymore. I installed the drivers for it also and tried it on 3 computers in my house and it did the same on all of them (2 running windows xp and one running windows 98). Please help, I don't wanna think it's broke cause it worked the first time (i also unpluged and repluged it back into the ps2 slot and restarted the computer many times, also it cant be the batterys because I used 3 new sets and checked them with a battery checker) Please Help!@#$!!

The only guess that I can provide is that the keyboard might have gotten a short on the receiver/transmitter on-board that would prevent it from communicating with the tower. Therefore, I would suggest trying to return it to the place that you bought it from or switching it out...
