Pleeze Help With Bf2

Hi I got battleField2 and i was wondering...wtf is wrong with this:confused: lol
when i go to play it (double click on icon) it starts up (shows bf2 splash) then turns black for about .30-1 sec then nothing happens..same thing with Americas Army..

Could this be a video card proble...
the comp i have going now is in sig...
 
I think Archangel is on the right track....I think your videocard is too outdated. I've never heard of the mod she suggested but give it a try.
 
well i think both of you are right but a lil off..
try replaceing outdated with...=old piece of crap that i payed 200 bux for but now costs like 50 :)
 
dude, to play battlefield you need at least 1GB of ram, your gonna have a slow gameplay. I had it and it sucks.

the gameplay isnt slower.. but the loading times take much longer. a friend of mine plays bf2 on a pc with only 256Mb RAM, so it does work.

anyway, the geforce 4 series doesnt have the mininum shader technology.
that mod i posted a link to, makes the game use older shader techn.
however.. never tested it myself, since my pc runs it just fine :)
so thath option 1.
a other option is a cheap upgrade.. get a geforce 6200 256Mb and upgrade to 1Gb of RAM. then you'll be able to play the game with high textures, and a nice resolution and almost everything on me.

or.. you can god for a more expensive card ofcourse :).
but, keep in mind.. to run the game at higher settings, i would reccomend upgrading the RAM to.. because otherwise the loading really will take ages ;)

man im fps doug i get head shots like its a joke its like..i can dance all day i can dance all day BOOM HEADSHOT BOOM HEADSHOT! BOOOOMMMM HEADSHOT!
but lame ass SP2 screwed up my comp gd it so i wont be pwning any no0bs anytime so0n....
 
It depends what kind of video card you have. Like for example Ati 9800 pro can run all kinds of game but you need at least 1.5 of ram.
 
when your a harcore gamer and you like competition it doesnt get annoying. is like to pump yourself to play better.
