Plextor DVD RW Drive wont work

Hi I have a plextor DVD RW drive and it wont read any disks and i already tried cleaning it and it still wont work please help me
 
Does it light up when the system is started? Make sure all connectors are in all of the way. What position on the ide cable is it plugged into? the center or end. You could also try the cable select jumper position on the drive itself. If you are trying to read cds it may not be able to read them where other makes and mdels would. If it is not reading dvds then the other things could apply.

It used to read all sorts of CD's DVD's CD R's and stuff but now it doesnt. a little orange light appears on the drive and then does nothing, when it used to read a CD the light would turn green.
