hello folks!i intend to make my 16gb kingston flash drive as a bootable device by copying win 7 bootmgr n other essential files to d drive.how ever,i want to reserve some space for my normal data storage, as if i ve d doubt that if i use d "clean" command while making the flash drive usb bootable,i will be able still store other data into the drive after being a usb bootable.pls any complimentry and positive comment to help accomplish this is deeply appreciated.

Do a fresh install on your hard drive. Set it up how you want, within that 16GB limit, then create an image. Copy the image to the USB device and it should be bootable, exactly as you set it up before

thnks for the reply but do u mean after making it a bootable device,will i still be able to store data inside the usb flash device.pls just to confirm before doing d task as adviced.

You can if you have any space left.

hello thanks for your reply once again but i m still havn problems while creating the win 7 image.the problem is dat i am usin win aik tool to create the winpe bootdisc but after creating the disc,i am unable to boot to it.i ve checked some answers oline which adviced replacing the "winpe.wim" file with boot.wim file in the" c:\winpe_x86\iso\sources" folder.i ve tried this by deleting the existing boot.wim in dat folder and copying the winpe.wim file to the folder snd renaming it to boot.wim.unfortunatly after all these,the machine still does not boot to the iso file created using the oscdimg command in the win Aik tool.pls any corrective step is deeply appreciated.
