What's the kind of balance would you like to have between cpu, gpu and mobo? Are you wanting to overclock the motherboard? Have a slightly better graphics card and slightly worse cpu or slightly better cpu and slightly worse graphics card? I assume from what you said the focus is in the graphics?

It all depends where you'd like to save money and sacrifice performance. For example, you could always sacrifice the support for SATAII hard drives and go for something like the K8N Neo4-F. That'd save you 15 quid, but that's not enough to afford the next step up in processor. You'd probably have to go for a slower graphics card to keep to your tight budget. In my view the 3200+ is the best combination of performance and price in your price range.

ok i didn't plan on changing my ide hard drives to sataII so the k8n neo4-f will have to do,

can this be overclocked (the mb)

and can the cpu and gfx be oc'ed

All the hardware will support overclocking to some degree, I'm not sure how much you'll get extra from the gfx card, but the motherboard should support overclocking the cpu no problem, the biggest question is do you have a good enough cooler on your old system to ensure temperatures remain optimal when you plug in the new hardware?

Ok, that aint good. If I were you I'd invest that extra £15 you've saved on the motherboard, as well as another £15 or so, on a new high-quality cooler. That'll ensure better overclocking success, and will probably make your whole system a lot less noisy (depending of course on the graphics card noise level).

I personally like zalman coolers, although that's a personal preference of mine, so you don't have to agree with me. Something like the CNPS7700, or if you're feeling really flash the CNPS9500-LED, will help you squeeze that extra little bit from the cpu, and combining that with some Arctic Silver 5 would be wise as well.

is the graphics card good for ocing
From what I can gather, not really. BFG are selling a pre-overclocked version with an increase from 1400MHz to 1450MHz in memory clock speed, and an increase from 560MHz to 580MHz in GPU speed. Those aren't fantastic improvements, so I'd say expect to get similar results.

ok ill go with your first surgestion, as it looks the best for my money

as for the cooling, well im lookijng into the three suggestions you gave me

might get water cooling but not sure,

thanks for helpin

I can tell you that cheap water cooling does not offer any benefit over expensive air-cooling like the ones I suggested, and in addition water cooling can be quite risky, prone to more faliures, and has greater setup requirements. Of course it's your choice, but don't automatically assume that a water cooling system will give you better cooling performance than the cooler you said you were interested in. That's all I'll say. And you're welcome. :)
