*Plz Help* Problems with my computer

I am having problems with my computer. When I turn on my computer, it goes to the Safe Mode prompt (the screen that comes up when you're hitting F8). I've tried every option (Safe Mode, Starting Windows Normally, etc.). Whenever I choose one, it shows a list of drivers or it just goes back to the Safe Mode prompt menu. How do I stop it from doing this because I want to clean my computer?

Reformat hard drive, then reinstall the OS, that would clean it for sure.

Reformating hard drive will do the trick with this problem.

If ur os is a vista, put the vista disc in and boot from the vista dvd and choose repair computer option and see if it fix the problem.

How do you reformat the hard drive?

My OS is Windows XP by the way. Also, I'm not getting the "blue screen of death". I can't get past the Windows part. Every time it gets that far, it automatically goes back to the Choices Menu where I choose Safe Mode, Safe Mode w/ Network, Last configuration, etc. Any ideas?
