Poker Stars software recognizes computers after formatting. How to fix?

I play on Poker Stars but due to my association with another player who received money from a scammer, my account was banned. Their security is tight.

However, I'd still like to play on Poker Stars but I came across this person's situation: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071117210003AA6xoNX

Even after formatting my computer, the Poker Stars software somehow can STILL recognize that it is 'my' computer.

Is there any way around this? What has Poker Stars planted in my computer? Is there anything I can change in my computer that will fool the Poker Stars software? I prefer Stars over other site and would rather not have to buy a new computer just to play on it.

either they ban your IP, hardware fingerprint, email or bank account

and no dont try to get round it. That would be illegal and could get you jailed for fraud.
