Poor detection of hardwares

Hi. I have a problem with my desktop computer, cant detect any hardware which i put on my computer like usb bluetooth, cd/dvd rom, usb modem. When i go to device manager, it tells me that it cant detect any hardware installed. I am really frustrated and dont know what to do. It cant even go to the internet. I need help, i dont know what to do with it. Peter

Have you installed all the drivers for your motherboard such as chipset, lan, usb etc ?

Thanks James. Not sure, as i dont know about them. How do i install those drives and where do i get them from. I think you can help so that i can try to get them.

Do you know what motherboard you have or what the make and model of your pc is ?

Thanks James for your advice. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! I had to look thoroughly at the motherboard make and model. Thereafter i managed to download those drivers from internet. Now my computer is working 100%. Thanks a millions. It can now detect any hardware. Peter
