do you think the poor economy will cause the price of computers and parts to drop because i heard microprocessor sales are dropping?

hmm i dono bout that because it will probably just make more companys go under and might result in the few companys that are surviving set the prices that they want since there wouldnt be much compitition. but at first when companys are failing we'll probably see a little drop, such as a bigger mail in rebate or something like that

but how many mainstream cpu companies are there really that would cause a large scale, appreciable market trend from companies going under?

Well it could depend on where you are and who you buy from.
I live in Australia and the price are massive now. Its going to cost me around an extra $700 AUD more to buy my comp.
But lol I guess if you lived in America (where I am buying from) and was buying from Australia prices would be massivly low.
Even though that is inpractical lol buying from Australia but there could be other situations like that.
That only concerning currency like the $ and such besides that comp prices should rise but you might be able to find companys going under who will just sell out there stock at very low prices

Heh... yeah the economy is causing everything to drop in price. Infact, chrysler just stopped their production of cars yesterday after 83 years... its sad.

ya GM and chrystler (not sure if chrysler is owned by them) kinda screwed themselves with being greedy and not changing like honda and toyota

they drop so people can buy and they can move their orders.

the news said flash memory makers got hit hard. so hard that i can get a 16 gig sony pro duo stick for 90 bucks.

also great deals on clothes at the mall. these are AFTER CHRISTMAS prices.

nope prices are sadley rising as companys need more money as there losing profit At bunnings of our biggest suppliers recently went bankrupt so its just gonna happen more and more
