Pop up blockers?

I don't know where to start. My friend has some crazy pop up's on her computer. She has vista. I am an xp user. Anyone have any recommendations?

She might want to scan her computer for potential malware or something. Scans every once in a while are a good thing to do

Have her download and run Malwarebytes Antimalware.

If your getting any pop ups on modern browser such as IE8 or Firefox then you shouldn't be getting any pop ups. Your friend has malware on her/his PC have her follow johnb35's isntruction with Malwarebytes.

She has IE8 and firefox and google chrome. Her hubby is always changing things. When I got to her computer it didnt even have an anti-virus. I have avg on it now.
I ran the malwarebytes.....She had like 165 infections on a quick scan. I got 3 infections so far. It's been running for about 1 hr. Any other suggestions?

Please post the log that malwarebytes displayed at the end. Also, download and run hijackthis and post a logfile. Follow the instructions here.
