This just recently started happening, whenever I open a new Mozilla Firefox explorer window a pop-up of an ad comes up. This is not that big of a deal since its just one pop-up per explorer window so I just exit out but I am concerned since it just recently started to happen. Anyone have any suggestions?

Never tried that program, but yeah, it's most certainlly spyware. Adaware and spybot are other good programs to clean off your system, as well.

gaa, my bad... I thought he had IE because the title said "explorer." I really should pay attention when reading posts.

lol... yeah

Basically I have installed ewido and i have AOL spyware remover, so I though I should be set... But the pop-ups kept comin. Then I changed my homepage and that pretty much did it. There aren't a lot of pop-ups anymore but I get them occasionly. Not a big deal so thanx for ur help.

So are those three programs the only three I'll need to keep my comp adware and spyware free? An speaking of free, do they cost any money?

There are more, but the three I listed are the best of them.

Firefox doesn't block all popups even if you turn on popup blocking. There are some settings that need to be changed, i forgot which values exactly.
You type "about:config" in the address bar and customize it.
privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins should be set to 2
