DVD files are consist of VOB, VTS files. yes you can play them in your standard windows media player (10) if not alternatively PowerDVD, InterDVD google it for free dvd media players you will find some.
Personally i prefer dvd shrink its very easy to use great tool and its free.
okay thanksdansilva said:you cant join them together into a wmp file and delete files you think unwanted. if that happens it wont play.
if you wanna convert a dvd files into a 700mb avi/divx, 800mb avi/divx or 1.30GB avi/divx you could do that.
I personally use G Knot to convert. there are other such programs, google it
i.e. DVD to avi/divx etc.
