I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post, so feel free to move this if necessary.
Let me explain my current setup first.
My router is A-link Roadrunner 44c. Connected to it are two w-lan stations, but we'll be using only one of them, D-link DIR 635. My Roadrunner is pretty much a signal transforming dummy, and it bridges a connection to the two w-lan stations, and both of them have their own WAN ip address and act as DHCP servers for the computers connected to them. I have D-link to forward all ports to my computer, and it used to work.
Let me emphasise and repeat: things used to work. I used Windows XP and I never had problems with internet or ports, using this exact same setup.
Two things have happened since then. I have upgraded to Windows 7 and I have hit the reset button on the A-link. The A-link almost certainly has always ran on default settings, and even after the resetting, it's still in bridged mode and gives both my w-lan stations a WAN ip address of their own.
Then my OS. I have disabled Windows firewall in all its forms, and have disabled my F-secure firewall as well, but this has not helped. I do not have peerguardian or such programs that could block my internet usage.
I just don't know where the problem could be. My internet functions otherwise perfectly, except that I can't open the ports like I used to. I have not touched D-link's options, and my computer's LAN ip is the same as it used to be and matches the port forwarding rule in D-link's options.
For clarification: Since my D-link has its own WAN ip address, is it even possible that the issue is with A-link? I can't see how I could forward ports when the outside address of D-link is an internet ip address and not one assigned by A-link.
I get this feeling that the problem is in windows7, but I just can't figure it out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
