Is it possible to get a new laptop, partition it, and have Vista, XP and Linux on it?


And pick what OS you want to boot from at the boot up screen, and when I log off?

When you log off no. ALL copies of Linux will install a boot loader that will allow you to choose what OS to start during the boot, very reliably too; I have never had a copy of Linux fail to recognize a windows install.
 
i know its possible to "dual boot" XP and vista, because i am doing it right now. also i have heard it is possible to triple-boot xp, vista, and linux.
youll need a software like Easy BCD to manage it all.
