im a gamer on the side of work and school, i normally keep up with the latest cpu's and dont need to discuss much with people about computer parts or whatever but i do need some help. to start ill post what i got
CPU- phenom black edition 3.4(oc'd to 3.8)
gpu- galaxy GTX 460 super oc
ram - 1333 16 gigs
mobo - i dont remember the model but its a gigabyte
blue ray drive
and a 1 TB 10000 RPM hdd

now im looking to upgrade, not because ive been having issues playing current games but becasue i dont want to have issues in the future. ive done reading about the new AMD "bulldozer" 8 core cpu and people say its trash in comparison to the i5 and i7, but the ghz on a i5 and some of the i7 is far less that what i am currently running, so do i really need a new cpu or will my black edition 965 carry me for a few more years? also i cant seem to find a graphics card that doesnt cost a arm and a leg to replace my current one for under 300. and lastly is a SSD drive really worth the money, any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

1. your 1TB is not at 10,000 RPM. It is 7200 RPM.
2. A i5 or i7 will pown your Phenom II. But you do not need to upgrade.
3. SSD is a nice thing to have, but it is by no means a necessity. If you want one go for it. If not then you are fine too.
4. GTX 660ti or HD 7870 will be fine.
