Post oc on cpu!

1st OC

I am new to overclocking and me or my motherboard are not really familar with it....but recently I purchased a new Athlon64 x2 6400 for my Gateway...UPS says it will be in TOMORROW!
But anyway since I was going from a 5000+89W to 125W I wanted to get a cpu cooler and ended up with an Antec 300 case and a zalman 9700
went ahead and got everything in running in the new box and got my 5000x2
2.6ghz upto 2,873 Mhz by setting up the clock (HTT) to 221MHz from 200
and the reference clock to 2,875 Mhz
The memory says 884 now. I can't really adjust anything else in the bios or motherboard like the memory voltage. But seems to be running fine shaved 3 secs off my SUPER PI time haha
Can't wait until Tuesday.

2.6 Athlon 500064x2
500 Wt PSU
ECS 6100 Mobo
4 Gb 800Mhz Memory @1.8 v
9800 GTX GPU

the amd's x2 have very little room for overclocking with temps etc i had that same amd processor and could only clock by 100mhz more before heat was an issue, thats why i switched to C2D they run like they are in a freezer even on stock cooling, i am now sitting on 3.3ghz overclock from 2.4ghz ON AIR!!

e4500 stock: 2.2Ghz.

Mine: 2.93Ghz

730Mhz overclock.

soon when i get a heatsink i will shoot for 3.3ghz, which is a 1.1ghz overclock, or 50% :D
