I'm gonna run a DX58SO board (a 2x12 pin) with a 20+4 pin PSU, do I need an adapter and if so which kind? Thanks for the help in advance

Okay, after re-reading your post I see the answer. Your power supply has a 24 pin P1 connector and the motherboard has a 24 pin connector. It should work fine.
